Bible in 2 Years

Every weekday we will read:

- an Old Testament passage
- a poetry passage: Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Solomon, Lamentations (we repeat this set in the 2nd year)
- a New Testament passage (this will take us 2 years this time, rather than the old system where we repeated the whole NT in the 2nd year)

Each day has a short summary of each reading, some points to consider, and extra info for those wanting to dive deeper.

On Saturday I'll send a summary of the week, and you'll have the weekend to catch up if you fall behind.

Today we watch Jacob return to Bethel to worship the God who has kept every promise, hear David's darkest psalm turn to triumphant praise, and hear Jesus speak some of His harshest words to the religious leaders of His day.

Today we watch Jacob and Esau's tearful reunion turn to horror in the very next chapter, hear the cry of the cross echo through David's darkest psalm, and learn from Jesus Himself how to pray.

Today we watch Jacob wrestle with God Himself and come away changed, hear David praise God even from his high place as king, and sit with Jesus in Martha's kitchen and at His feet with Mary.
